Captain Bennett Taylor is the owner of Outer Limits Charters. Captain Taylor has had his Coast Guard Masters Captain’s License since 1987. Captain Bennett’s love for fishing began up north in Delaware. Before he would leave Delaware, he would gain a degree at the University of Delaware and he would fish for Marlin, Shark, and Dolphin among other things on both commercial and personal scales.
The first real move in Captain Bennett’s life took him to Cooke Inlet, Alaska where he spent his time fishing for Salmon. From there, Captain Bennett was a forced to be reckoned with and was able to fish in the waters of Hawaii, Costa Rica, Mexico, and in the Carolinas. Of course, this was all prior to his time in Key West.
A true angler, Captain Bennett loves a challenge. To his credit, this fine Captain has won or maintained a high placement in many competitions. Some of the more notable tournaments that Captain Bennett has won includes the White Marlin Open, the Key West Texaco Classic, and both the Ocean City Shark and Ocean City Tuna Tournaments.
Captain Bennett has also worked as a crew member on the IRBA Charter boat of the year, for two consecutive years. It is this level of experience, knowledge, and competitive spirit that makes him a wonderful choice for a fun and productive fishing excursion. You do not have to doubt your Captain. He will not only find you the fish, but he will also tell you how you have a better chance of catching them, too.
Captain Bennett’s boat was built in 2000. The Outer Limits is a new 42 foot custom fishing vessel. This fine boat has a twin 430C Cummins Turbo Diesel engine, a 128 sq. foot cockpit, a 50 gallon bait well, and 16 rod holders. A Bose stereo and surround sound is also on the Outer Limits for those moments when a little music is necessary. Of course, these things are just the tip of the iceberg. The Outer Limits has everything a new and seasoned angler could need during a successful fishing trip. The Outer Limits even has a CD player and a DVD player on board in the recreation areas.
Bring your snacks and food along. The Outer Limits offers a refrigerator, freezer, and microwave so if you are interested in a little lunch during your trip you have everything on board that you need to get a bite to eat.
The Outer Limits moves at speeds of 40 mph. While this is quite fast for a fishing vessel it offers the added benefit of ensuring that you spend more time fishing and less time sailing to your destination spot, wherever that may be.
Captain Bennett has done his best to think of everything and this shows when you are on one of his charters. Of course, he also welcomes feedback and suggestions in order to improve his already stellar tours.
