Joe always knew that he would want to grow up to be a fishing Captain, just like his dad. Today he honors his father’s memory proudly as he walks in his footsteps, delivering successful and fun fishing charters on a daily basis.
Captain Joe’s father passed away when Joe was just a young boy, but Joe was able to work with some of the best charter Captains in Key West to learn all the things that have made him a success today. While all the Captains Joe learned from were different, this allowed him to take something new from each one and to tie his own style and beliefs into the training to create a unique blend of fishing that is all his own.
Captain Joe has had jobs working in the fish industry forever. As a younger boy, he filleted fish and washed boats. As he grew he made it to first mate and then eventually became a commercial fisherman. Fish of all kinds and lobsters were on the menu until he gave up commercial fishing in 1976 to finally become a Key West charter boat Captain.
Fishing and tours take place on Captain Joe’s amazing boat, the Triple Time. The Triple Time is a truly unique fishing vessel. Actually, the Triple Time is a modified 46 foot Bertram yacht. Customization has been added to make the vessel extremely friendly to fishermen. Powered by dual Detroit diesel engines, you are sure to be safe and secure on this large and sturdy boat.
The Triple Time is more than just a fishing boat though. It has everything you need to be comfortable in every possible way. The Triple Time includes the following things onboard:
- Three air conditioning units
- Two staterooms
- A living room
- A kitchen
- A bathroom
- Television with VCR
- CD player
Fishing with Captain Joe means you have to worry about very little before your trip. All licenses and equipment are included in your price. Equipment that will be used includes 20, 30, and 50 pound Penn International Reels and test lines.
