Great Success Offshore In May

Our captains have seen some success deep sea recently; their clients have been catching Dolphin and Sailfish in the tremendously deep waters (between one thousand and two thousand feet)out near the wall, some Wahoo stalking beneath floating structure like logs in deep water, and Blackfin Tuna in approximately six hundred feet of water.

Lately, every half-day Tarpon expedition into the harbor has resulted in our clients nabbing an average of five of these great fighting fish. If you have never been Tarpon fishing in Key West, this is the time of year to join our expert captains to chase these excellent game fish that can reach weights over one hundred and thirty pounds.

For the next month, Key West also enjoys an influx of Mutton and Yellowtail Snapper for their annual spawn. If you are looking for some bent-rod action, this is also the best time to use light tackle to nab some Snapper at the reef.

If you are seeking to enjoy both offshore and light tackle fishing, this is a prime time to head down to the Keys.

Tight lines and trophy trips,

Capt. Chris Garcia
