June Brings Fishing Excitement

If you are looking for some fishing excitement, this is a great time to book a charter with us in Key West. The light tackle fishing has really ramped up lately. We are currently in the middle of both the Yellowtail Snapper and Mutton Snapper spawns at the Atlantic reef just south of Key West. We've been hitting the reef in both morning and afternoon shifts, pulling in plenty of Yellowtail Snapper early in the day and ample Mutton Snapper in the late afternoon. Light tackle angling off the reef offers our clients plenty of bent-rod action. If you have never experienced reef fishing in the Keys, this is the season to try it out. Our savvy captains know that both of these Snapper respond to chumming and cut bait.

Another popular inshore target for light tackle charters is Tarpon. These huge battlers always give anglers plenty of excitement in Key West Harbor. Our parties have been snagging at least 5 of these monsters on every half-day charter.

Tight lines and trophy trips,

Capt. Chris Garcia
